What is being offered: Carboplatin combined with Laverdia-CA1 (verdinexor), a selective inhibitor of nuclear export (SINE)
Who may qualify: Confirmed cancer diagnosis required; Prior surgery; Post amputation; Planned chemo
Costs / coverage: 🟡 Partially funded. Laverdia-CA1 is provided free; sponsor contributes $150 per carboplatin visit (up to $600) and $25 per bloodwork visit (up to $100), with a 10% bill discount. Owners pay all additional costs and unrelated tests/procedures.

Published official protocol lists one site, Cornell University Hospital for Animals. Dogs must already have undergone limb amputation for osteosarcoma at Cornell and must not have received any chemotherapy. Twelve-week study combines carboplatin with oral Laverdia-CA1 (verdinexor). Follow-up appointments and home medication administration are required. Current Anivive marketplace labels the study Recruiting; an older Cornell award page dates the original project to June 2022–May 2023, so current patient admission remains subject to Cornell prescreen.
